  • Administrative Assistant, Main Office

    好色先生 College School is seeking an Administrative Assistant, Main Office. This is an active recruitment for a full-time position beginning in late June, 2026.

    好色先生 College School (好色先生) is a co-educational independent day school for students in Grades 7 through 12. 好色先生 was founded to inspire students to venture further in order to prepare them for the challenges and experiences of life. Our small, supportive community allows students to feel positive and engaged each day, while our trailblazing approach to personalized education challenges every student to grow. 

    Compensation & Terms
    The expected salary range for this position is $60,000-70,000. This is an ongoing contract position. 

    Hours of Work:
    8:30 - 4:30 p.m. (work hours may change or vary depending on the school’s needs)

    Position Summary
    The primary objective of this role is to provide administrative and organizational support to the Main Office. The incumbent will function with a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and prioritization of work in a team setting. While the Administrative Assistant supports individuals, they also share responsibility for supporting the needs of other program areas.

    Responsibilities:
    • Support the efficient day-to-day functioning of the Main Office
    • Act as the first point of contact for triaging requests and inquiries
    • Manage the student and staff database system; update records, manually enter data, upload data and export various reports
    • Perform manual checks on data to ensure consistency, completeness and accuracy
    • Provide administrative support to the Vice-Principal, Student Learning (all aspects of progress reports, execution of final evaluations, data entry for course enrollments, external credit courses, reach-ahead, daily conduct tracking uploads, student review and course selection)
    • Provide administrative support to the Guidance Department (production of transcripts, drafting course-in-progress letters and managing student timetable updates)
    • Assist with the coordination of major school events which include, but are not limited to: Registration Day, Curriculum Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences and Celebration & Graduation Day
    • Manage, maintain and organize filing of all relevant documents of the Ontario Student Record (OSR)
    • Update and maintain the school calendar
    • Act as the back-up for coordinating teacher coverage requests
    • Act as the back-up to Reception by providing daily reception relief during breaks and also as required
    • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and ordering office supplies for the Main Office, Reception and various programs
    • Perform administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, mailing and filing
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Related postsecondary training or minimum 5 years experience in office administration
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications, as well as strong data entry skills
    • Extensive database management experience
    • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
    • Able to identify and anticipate when tasks need to be initiated, takes initiative to assist if they identify support is needed, is a self-starter and makes task completion a priority
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Takes pride in their work
    • Able to work independently and self-motivate through projects
    • Has a detailed mind that can follow instructions, interpret existing systems, ask clarifying questions when needed, and problem solve to work through ideas and projects
    • Able to manage a variety of tasks concurrently and perform well under pressure

  • English Subject Team Leader

    好色先生 College School is seeking an English Subject Team Leader (Department Head) with Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification. This is an active recruitment for a full-time position commencing in September 2026.

    At 好色先生, teaching and learning are organized to facilitate success for all of our students. The prior experience of the successful candidate will show evidence of this belief. Previous experience with or a willingness to embrace differentiated learning and related learning technology are also important considerations for this teaching position. 

    Compensation & Terms
    The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 to $135,000. Final salary placement will be determined in accordance with 好色先生’s Teacher Salary Grid, which includes grid steps up to 12 years of qualifying teaching experience. Subject Team Leaders teach a full course load and receive a responsibility stipend in addition to their salary. 

    The successful candidate will be offered ongoing employment as a Teacher. The leadership appointment (Subject Team Leader) is for a 3-year term, which may be extended at the discretion of the school.

    Role of Subject Team Leader, English:
    As a member of the school’s academic leadership team, you are dedicated to leading a group of teachers in the pursuit of instructional excellence and the development of personalized learning. You are committed to the school’s mission and strategic objectives, to enhancing the skills and knowledge of all members of your team and to leading through the use of collaboration and inspiration.

    The Subject Team Leader, English will:
    • Lead the team’s development of academic goals and monitor the team’s attainment of these goals
    • Demonstrate commitment and actionable progress annually to move forward the school’s academic focuses
    • Ensure that all curriculum within the team’s area of instruction complies with MOET guidelines, aligns course content in a proportional manner to curriculum expectations, and is responsive to best practices within the subject area
    • Provide members of the team with the necessary guidance and feedback that supports their development of subject expertise
    • Organize and execute a coherent vertical subject plan for courses within the English curriculum, including championing thought diversity across units and lessons 
    • Formulate and oversee an annual budget within the context of the school’s budget
    • Communicate with the Director, Academics & Pluralism, the Vice-Principal, Student Learning and other Subject Team Leaders on a regular basis
    • Attend and contribute to regular Subject Team Leader meetings 
    • Plan and lead regular English team meetings
    • Support school leaders in setting a positive tone and modelling expectations

       The Subject Team Leader, English will possess the following skills and attributes:

      Position Summary
      The Technician, Multimedia provides exceptional audio-visual and help desk support for school events and operations, ensuring seamless technical execution and a positive user experience. They are responsible for supporting and maintaining the school's audio-visual equipment. This includes operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electronic devices to ensure optimal performance. The technician will also coordinate with staff to determine AV requirements for events, provide technical support, and manage the inventory of AV equipment. 

      Responsibilities
      Equipment Management and Operation:
      • Manage, support, and operate theater, gym auditorium, classroom, and lodge visual audio distribution systems and peripherals (LCD Projectors, Sounds Systems, Interactive Whiteboards, LCD Screens, Document Cameras, Digital Display Screens, etc.).
      • Operate sound boards and lighting boards (including LED lighting systems).
      • Set up and dismantle AV equipment for events and meetings.
      • Maintain inventory of AV equipment and media storage
      • Support audio-visual equipment installations and repairs through vendor coordination.
      Event Support:
      • Provide Audio/Video support for school-wide events (i.e. School Plays, Rental Events, etc.) that take place before or after normal working hours (8:00 am - 4:00 pm).
      • Liaise with event coordinators and IT staff to determine AV requirements.
      • Set up and support AV equipment for classroom, scheduled events, and meetings.
      • Setup-up and support streaming and video conferencing events (i.e. streamyard, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Youtube Streaming).
      • Assist with the collection and transfer media formats from functions and events.
      • Edit, produce, and archive media using Adobe Cloud software.
      Help Desk Support:
      • Evaluate new AV technologies to enhance the school's capabilities.
      • Provide basic technical support and guidance to teachers and students for academic projects involving video/audio editing and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Audacity).
      • Troubleshoot multimedia applications for staff and students.
      • Act as primary and secondary for incoming help desk tickets:
        • Audio-visual equipment (primary)
        • Desktop and laptop computers (Windows and macOS) (secondary)
        • Mobile devices (iOS and Android) (secondary)
        • Printers and scanners (secondary)
      • Assist users with technical problems mainly in-person and online when required.
      • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed
      Additional Duties:
      • Operate spotlights and custom lighting systems.
      • Operate sound boards and multi-mic systems.

      Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
      • 2-year college diploma in broadcasting, audio-visual technology, or equivalent
      • 1-2 years of experience in audio-visual support, preferably in an educational or corporate setting
      • Experience operating sound boards, lighting boards (including LED lighting systems), and some experience with Crestron units
      • Qualification preferred in education audio-visual software (i.e. Adobe Cloud Creative Suite, Streamyard, Handbrake, Audacity)
      • Experience with audio-visual mixing boards, wireless microphones, stage lighting, lighting boards, projectors, and sound systems
      • Orderly, with strong organizational and time management skills
      • Strong technical skills, including cable management and termination
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
      • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
      • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
      • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
